This is a fabulous and very hard to find set of five vintage French enamel canisters, made by B.B. Freres. Iconic 1930s checkered red and white design. The set comprises Sucre, Farine, Cafe, Pates and Chicoree canisters - all with lids. In vintage chippy condition. Three of the canisters have large chips at the back where they have been against the wall, the lids are also quite worn. There are several other links and chips but overall they are in good condition and very lovely. The largest canister is approx 18cms / 7" high and the smallest approx 14cms / 5.5".
